Obituary of Delores A. Mayo
Milo – Delores A. Mayo, 81, passed away February 8, 2020, at her home. She was born September 15, 1938, in Masardis, the daughter of Douglas and Annie (McDonald) MacDonald. Delores graduated from Lee Academy prior to completing her beauty schoolcertificate and license. She owned and operated “Delores Beauty Salon”, out of her home. Delores loved working in the garden and enjoyed all flowers. Most important to her was family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at camp on Schoodic Lake for over 60 years.
Delores is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, George Mayo; three sons, George “Andrew” Mayo and his wife, Lori, of Windham, Michael Mayo and his wife, Linda, of Scarborough, and William Mayo and his wife, Robin, of Lakeview Plantation; sister, Joyce MacDonald of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Drew and his wife, Amanda, Brent and his wife, Alyssa, Matt, Aimee, Mike and his wife, Lindsey, and Will and his wife, Laura; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by six brothers, Carl, Alexander “Sandy”, Joseph, Jerry, James, and Michael MacDonald.
