Obituary of Karen Mae Shrang

Sangerville – Karen Mae Shrang, 66, ex-wife of the late Edward Meservey Jr., passed away February 18, 2020, at her home. She was born June 21, 1953, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Preble) Saulmer. Karen spent most of her working life working as a weaver in different woolen mills. She enjoyed camping, playing games on her computer, music, and the TV show, Dr. Pol. She had a deep love for her family and loved spending time with them and her special friends. She was an amazing mother, nana, and friend. Karen loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself!! She was blessed to have been able to reconnect with her sister, Carla, and share many laughs. Karen really loved her hospice nurse, Pam, and her hospice health aid, Donna. The family thanks them for their compassionate care. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McAlpine and her significant other, Jim Jackson; son, Larry Meservey and his wife, Sue; grandchildren, Dominic Meservey, Laura Pelkey and her late husband, Clay Pelkey, and their children, Angelique, Devan, and Carson, Scott McAlpine and his wife, Britney, and their son, Damien, Jaboa McAlpine and her significant other, Dan Rockwell, and her children, Alexis and Ryan, Lisa-Marie Watson and her husband, Andrew, and their son, A.J., and Shelly Belair and her husband, Markie, and their children, Gabbie and Hunter; her sister, Carla Jenkins; her brother, Jimmy Rukznis; two half-sisters; and many other extended family members. She will be missed by her best friends, Rick and Patty Thompkins, and her dog, Kassie, who meant everything to her. There will not be any services at this time.
