Milo – Catherine A. Rideout, 79, wife of the late George W. Rideout Sr., passed away peacefully April 23, 2020, at Cummings Health Care Facility, Howland. She was born June 16, 1940, in Queensboro, New York, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Lohmeyer) Reese. Catherine worked as a Registered Nurse for Charleston Correctional Facility, retiring after many years of service. She also worked at the Atkinson Play Mill, and for the United States Postal Service in Derby. Catherine loved her family deeply and most enjoyed spending time with them. A very crafty lady, she loved painting and making doilies. Catherine is survived by her four children, George Jr. and his fiancée, Carrie, Richard and his wife, Amanda, Steve and his wife, Karen, and Georgia and her husband, Sam; daughter-in-law, Coradean; fourteen grandchildren, April, Virginia, Ashley, Samantha, Gage, Miranda, Hannah, Samantha, Jacob, Anna, Forrest, Lani, Abigail, and Jackson; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her beloved husband, George, Catherine was predeceased by her parents; two grandchildren, Sheena and Cabela; and siblings, Virginia, Mary, and Buddy. A memorial service will be held once the restrictions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic lessen. Burial be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo.
