Rockwood – Donald “Ducky” F. Theriault, Sr., 80, husband of Linda K. (Dunton) Theriault, passed away November 2, 2020, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was born June 29, 1940, in Rockwood, the son of C. Wilfred and Gertrude H. (King) Theriault. Ducky had worked most of his life as a stone mason and he built many fireplaces in homes around Moosehead Lake. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. His large gardens were memorable – he was a great cook and will be remembered for his canning and pickling skills. Ducky’s family was all important to him, especially time spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Donald Theriault Jr. and his wife, Holly, and Rocky Theriault; a daughter, Heather Mateus and her husband, Joseph; a brother, Russell Theriault and his wife, Debbie; a sister-in-law, Andrea Worster; and three grandchildren, Ashley Theriault, Jessica Theriault, and Lily Mateus. He was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Robert, and Alfred; and five sisters, Catherine, Marie, Flora, Melissa, and Evelyn. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
