Obituary of Lillian F. Shufelt
Greenville – Lillian F. Shufelt, 73, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born February 8, 1947, in Greenville, daughter of George and Bitha (Walker) Hyland. She worked at the Greenville School lunch room from 1969 to present, alongside her mother for a period of that time. Lillian also worked for many years at Jamieson’s Market and was presently employed at the Corner Gift Shop. She made many friends at all places that were like family to her.
Lillian is survived by her husband, William Shufelt Sr.; her son, William Shufelt Jr. and his wife, Rachel, of Gray; four grandchildren, Briana Martell and her husband, Ryan, of Parkman, Corbin Shufelt of Guilford, Karla Shufelt and William Shufelt, both of Gray; two great-grandchildren, Carl and Lillian Martell of Parkman; two brothers, John Hyland and his wife, Pauline, of Bangor, and Bruce Hyland of Bingham; four sisters, Georgiann Jardine of Greenville, Rosalie Wortman of Greenville, Bonnie Fortier and her husband, Ross, of Guilford, and Debra Ridley and her husband, Dean, of Caribou; brother-in-law, Robert Shufelt Sr. and wife, Shirley, of Greenville; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the family lot in the Greenville Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
