Obituary of Joseph Frank Pinette
Dexter and Abbot – Joseph Frank Pinette, 82, passed away January 13, 2021, at Dexter Health Care. He was born May 9, 1938, in Brunswick, the son of Frank C. and AdenaL. (Bell) Pinette.
Joseph attended the Little Red School House in Dover-Foxcroft for many years from its time of opening in 1949. Following the passing of his parents, he was placed in special needs housing, spending over 12 years at Charlotte White Center (Abbot House). At age 80, Joey went to his first Red Sox game in Boston, “Oh Boy, Oh Boy!” Thank you Gayle for making this happen. He enjoyed snow, woodworking, baseball, and receiving many medals in Special Olympic Events. Joey spent the last 2 plus years at Dexter Health Care where he received the best care our family could ask for. In these trying times, your whole staff did a remarkable job.
Our family would like to express our sincerest gratitude for all the staff who took excellent care of Joey over many years.
He will be sadly missed by his roommate, Liz, and his baseball buddy, Shaun Sheilds. Joseph is survived by his brother, David Pinette of Texas; his nephew, Tony of Brewer; niece, Julie of Tennessee; many cousins; and his guardian and cousin, Eric Curtis and his family.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring. Burial will be in the family lot in the Lawn Cemetery, Guilford. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
