Obituary of Patricia Claire Desmarais
Milo, ME - Patricia Claire (Duffy) Desmarais, 83, passed away peacefully, January 16, 2021, in her home surrounded by her children. She was born March 28, 1937, in Providence, RI, the daughter of Frederick J. Jr. and Anita (Lafayette) Duffy.
Patricia worked as a nurse for over 40 years while investing in multi-family rental homes in Massachusetts and Maine. She was well-known for generosity in the community through her Thrift Shop where she greeted everyone with a smile. Pat was happiest when she was giving clothing and toys to young people in need. Pat loved painting, yard-saleing, finding bargains, and playing Bingo with her friends in Milo.
Patricia is survived by four sisters, Joanne Parsons of MD, Mary Campbell of MA, Marsha Gravel of MA, Robin Santos of MA; seven children, Deborah Lambert of Rehoboth, MA, Denise Hamlin and husband, Tony, of Milo, ME, Darlene Lupien and husband, Richard, of Worcester, MA, Doreen Hout and husband, Jed, of Westminister, MA, Ronald Desmarais Jr. and wife, Amy, of Milo, ME, Douglas Desmarais and wife, Sandra, of W. Yarmouth, MA, and Dawn Dufault and husband, Thomas, of N. Dighton, MA; twenty-five grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring with the time and location to be announced.
