Rockwood – Kendall G. Price, 89, passed away peacefully March 14, 2021, at Northern Lights Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital. He was born May 11, 1931, in Carbondale, PA, the son of Frederick and Doris (Tryon) Price. Ken loved his Savior Jesus, his wife Sarah, his family and his country. Ken proudly served in active duty for the United States Army stationed in Korea during the Korean War. Before moving his family to Rockwood, Ken worked as an electrical designer for IBM. Ken came, as a young man, to fish and hunt in the north Maine woods. His love for the outdoors and the Moosehead Lake area led to the purchase of the Rockwood West Outlet Camps in 1965. Ken and his wife Sarah (Sally) ran the camps until the early 1980’s. He continued his working career with Scott Paper Co. until his retirement. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah (Mannion) Price of Rockwood; four sons, Fred Price and his wife, Jaci, of Tennessee, John Price, David Price and his wife, Cheryl, Eric Price all of Rockwood; daughter, Nancy Malinauskas and her husband, Rich, of Garland; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Carli, Nolan, Kyle, Kara, Vincent and Adam; 9 great grandchildren, Gavin, Kendall, Payton, Tristan, Sophia, Elijah, Reya, Ezra and Josephine. Ken is predeceased by his brothers, Robert (Bob) Price and Donald (Don) Price both of whom were from Pennsylvania. A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held at the Saint Joseph Cemetery, Rockwood, in the spring.
