Obituary of Lillian A. White

Greenville – Lillian A. White, 90, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, March 28, 2021. Lil was the last of 15 siblings. She was born October 15, 1930. On May 1, 1953, she married Edwin L. White; they were married 24 years until his untimely death in 1979. Lil worked as a waitress for many years at Miller’s Restaurant in Bangor, at the 45th Parallel in Dexter, and at the Boom Chain Restaurant, Kelly’s Landing and Auntie M’s, all in Greenville, In her earlier years she enjoyed playing Bingo all over the state. She loved to play guitar and performed on Stacey’s Jamboree in the 60’s. In her later years she enjoyed making crocheted hats which she donated to the community. Lil lived in Greenville for 42 years. Lil is survived by her son, Timothy Tunks and significant other, Gail McCarthy, of Stetson; granddaughters, Jessica Tunks and Matthew King of Levant and Kaitlyn Tunks of Corinth; a great-grandson, Jamieson Wayne King; special nieces, Shawna Holt and Roger of Corinth, Nina Patrick and Scott, and Michell MacMahon and Kelly, all of Greenville; and a nephew, John Pickett and Jenn of Sidney. She leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her boys, great-nephew, Steven Morrill and great-great-nephew, Benson Morrill. She also leaves behind a special brother-in-law, Sonny Pickett and friend and caregiver, Leona Terrill. Lil’s family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for their quick actions in getting Lil home to spend her final days surrounded by family and friends. In lieu of flowers those that wish may donate in Lil’s memory to Beacon Hospice, 1026 Stillwater Ave, Bangor 04401. A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in Greenville Cemetery.
