I want to express my sincerest condolences to Julie, Larry and Scott. It was always obvious that Chris came from a very loving home and that he had an awesome upbringing. You raised an incredible man. My heart goes out to you during this very difficult time.
I know that Chris always wanted the people he cared about to be happy but what a devastating time of disbelief, heartbreak, grief and sadness that I know so many of us that adored him are feeling. I am struggling to accept his passing and to put in words what his cherished friendship meant to me but I know that he knew. He wasn’t afraid to tell people that he loved and believed in them. I feel honored to have been his friend.
I am happy I got to grow up with him and that he is part of so many of my Greenville memories starting from early childhood. He helped me get through high school and encouraged me to apply for and go to college even though I didn’t think I would be accepted. He was always so proud of my achievements and there to celebrate everyone’s successes because he cared and wanted everyone to do well. He was there for me when I made mistakes and gave me a shoulder to cry on and advice to help me carry on.
As adults it never mattered how much time had gone by without seeing each other, we would just pick up where we had left off as though no time had passed and nothing had changed. Although it has been awhile since I’ve seen him, I knew that when I did again there would be an infectious smile, a huge hug, lots of laughs and a heart to heart talk.
His charm, good nature, quick-wit, huge heart and incredible sense of humor made it so easy to bond with him. He had style and class. He was genuine and real. We had so much fun goofing off and everywhere he went was better because he was there. It didn’t matter how young or old you were he was a brother to so many.
I will sadly miss Chris for the rest of my life. He had an impact on this world and an impact on my life. He meant so much to so many people and his memory will live on forever. He left us all way too soon and it seems so unfair. Chris will always hold a special place in my heart and going to Moosehead will never quite be the same.
The sadness of his loss could never outweigh the joy, happiness and positive energy he brought to everyone around him. Rest In Peace Lavigne. I will never forget you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Chris's passing. I'll always remember his quick and winning smile. He was a likeable and cheerful student, and I will also cherish my memories of Chris's kindness and skill when he coached my son Ethan in golf and baseball.
My thoughts are with you Julie, Larry, and Scott, and with all of your family members, during this difficult time.

Chris was not just my neighbor, he was my friend. I found it amazing that he would want to spend time with someone way older than himself, but that did not matter to him at all. I enjoyed the times when he and Jamie invited me over, and the times when they came to my house. I will never forget that Chris always wore a smile, and he was always willing and eager to talk. My fervent hope is that his family can find solace and joy in remembering all the good times. Please accept my sincere condolences, and know that you can call on me anytime.

Cousin...If I had known when we talked earlier this month, it would be our last conversation I would have said more. I would have told you that you were one of the most positive happy go lucky guys I ever had the pleasure of knowing. You were everyone’s biggest fan. You always had a smile on your face. Always beaming. You loved your friends and family so fiercely and we were all better for being a part of your life.
I am going to miss randomly running into you downtown and saying “cousin!!!” Followed by a big hug and talking about the family. It always made my night to unexpectedly see you.
I hope wherever you are, all the positive energy you put out into this world is reflecting back to you now. Til we meet again Chris ♥️

So sorry to hear about Chris. I hadn’t seen him for a long time but remember taking care of him when he was little. We had fun playing in the yard and fishing off the dock. Taken way too soon. So sorry Julie and family.
