I met so many wonderful people during my six years on Sebec Lake. Elsie was the most wonderful. She was always so welcoming and willing to talk. One of my proudest moments at Sebec was catching a salmon big enough to give to Elsie and make her happy.
Since leaving in 2019, I have often wondered how she was doing. Today, when I first learned of her passing, wonder turned to grief.
But her obituary restored my sense of the gift she was and will always be.
