Gary Bennett Smith of Sangerville, Maine passed away September 3rd, 2023 after a long term illness at the age of 72. Born in East Harpswell, Maine on December 2nd, 1951 to Lillian and Harold Smith. He is predeceased by his three brothers. He was a former custodian for Bowdoin College for many years, until his love for fishing and hunting sent him to Sangerville. He worked as a custodian for SAD #4 in Guilford, Maine until his retirement. He was a member of the ATV Club and a proud Mason. He was also a gifted musician and had a passion for music. He is survived by his sister, Doris E. Darling of Cundy's Harbor, and his faithful companion Jake. Gary leaves behind several nieces and nephews. A memorial service including a Masonic service will be held 11am Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Dover-Foxcroft Church of the Nazarene.
