Bill was a wonderful colleague and friend to me over the 40 years that I taught Sociology at Cal State Dominguez Hills. As the “famous” Secretary of our Academic Senate who wrote the most witty and non boring minutes, I was able to stay informed of senate decisions by willingly reading his notes. I can’t think of a nicer male who was able to connect with both women and men, and to be especially kind and caring to women. What a great loss for everyone.
