Dover-Foxcroft – Irene Murch Bonsey, 96, passed away March 5, 2021, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born May 6, 1924, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of George Ora and Clara (Hanson) Murch. Irene worked at Fay Scott Landis in Dexter for a few years and for many years at Judkin’s Shop and Save in Dover-Foxcroft. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Robert, her daughter, Kathy, a brother, Frank Murch, and two sisters, Marjorie Smith and Laura Pratt. She is survived by a son, Richard Bonsey of Texas; adopted daughter and granddaughter, Sherry Cowing; grandchildren, Kier, Misty, Thomas, Olivia, Earl, Jimmy, and Derek; and a special great-granddaughter, Heather, whom she raised. She leaves many other great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
